Vietnamese Porcelain

Most products in our collection are made in Thailand but we also work with artisans from Bát Tràng in Vietnam.

 

Bát Tràng is located on the Red River, around 14 kilometres from the centre of Hanoi and is home to approximately 850 families nearly all of whom are connected to the production of ceramics.

 

The village has produced ceramics since the 11th century and drawing on the knowledge and accumulated wisdom of centuries, they continue to produce work of exceptionally high quality.  We work with 2 families with a deeply rooted connection to the place and industry in which they work.  Unlike many traditional crafts Bát Tràng has large numbers of highly skilled young people who are continuing to develop the tradition.
